   • Use package lockers, ship to work or ask a neighbor to pick up packages.

   • Avoid leaving empty boxes and packaging for high-value items at the curb. Break them down and place them inside your trash or recycling containers.

3. Make Your Home Look Occupied

   • Use timers or smart plugs for indoor lights and TVs when you’re away.

   • Leave a vehicle in the driveway if possible or ask a neighbor to park in front of your home.

   • Avoid posting real-time travel plans or photos that clearly show you’re away from home.

   • Save holiday trip photos to share after you return.

5. Neighborhood Awareness

6. Secure Valuables
