Environmental Education

Upcoming classes in partnership with Texas A&M Collin County Extension Office and Grace Place Community Garden:

March 16 – Bees taught by Shannon LaGrave

  • Location: Grace Place Community Garden
    • 10 a.m., A hands on experience for our young neighbors.
    • Noon, A course on pollination for beginner and experienced gardeners alike

March 27 – Composting taught by Texas A&M Agri-Life

  • Location: Grace Place Community Garden
  • Time: Noon to 1 p.m.
  • Light snacks and drinks provided.

April 24 – Irrigation taught by Texas A&M Agri-Life

  • Location: Grace Place Community Garden
  • Time: Noon to 1 p.m.
  • Light snacks and drinks provided.

May 22 – Turf 1 – Taught by Texas A&M Agri-Life

  • Location: Skyview Conference Room, Anna Municipal Complex
  • Time: Noon to 1 p.m.

 June 19 – Turf II (a two-part series) – Taught by Texas A&M Agri-Life

Community Leadership Meetings

Neighborhood Engagement will host monthly leadership meetings for leaders within the various communities in the city. City staff from multiple departments will attend these meetings to provide updates and answer questions.

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month* at 6pm at the Anna Municipal Complex. If you are interested in attending please email Olivia.

*Meetings will not be held on national holidays.

Veteran's Recognition Program

With this initiative we strive to highlight those who have served in the Armed Forces and provide a way for the City and Neighbors to thank them.

Signs will be available again in October of 2025.

The We Notice! initiative serves to recognize a property in the City of Anna that has gone the extra mile to show pride of ownership. Each month Neighborhood Services will select a property to recognize for their effort and role in keeping Anna beautiful.

Pop-up Beautification Days


The Community Enhancement and Compliance division could be hosting a beautification day in your neighborhood! During this time, a dumpster will be provided for bulk trash*. 

Staff will be onsite with promotional items and to answer any questions.

During this event a special project will be identified in advance that volunteers will assist with.
