The City of Anna City Council is reviewing adopting a City of Anna Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Program in accordance with the requirements of the Property Assessed Clean Energy Act as set forth in Texas Local Government Code Chapter 399.
At the Nov. 9 meeting, the City Council will hold a public hearing.
The City of Anna neighbors benefit when buildings are modified with new technology and equipment that increases energy efficiency and reduces water consumption. As described in the report, the City is reviewing establishing the PACE Program to encourage private sector investment in energy efficiency and water conservation for commercial, industrial, nonprofit, and multifamily properties. The PACE Program will be offered to property owners on a strictly voluntary basis and will not require the use of any public funds or resources.
