FM 455 Project

Update - May 10, 2017

The new anticipated completion date for FM 455 is mid-June.  The contractor has experienced several delays, however, as of today, the contractor stated that both sides should be open by June. 
Update - February 15, 2017

The anticipated completion date for FM 455 is April 1, 2017.  The bulk of the remaining work that needs to completed is the bridge.  The contractor for TxDOT has stated they anticipated the bridge being completed by mid-March and opening both sides of the roadway by April 1, 2017.  

UPDATE - October 2016

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is projecting substantial completion for FM 455 to occur by the end of 2016. Currently 100% of the storm pipe has been installed on the project and the concrete is largely finished for the future westbound lanes. The contractor is now working on the grading, lime and asphalt installation on the future eastbound lanes on the south side. This work is being completed in preparation for the permanent concrete surface installation.

As with any major infrastructure project, weather and material availability may affect scheduled completion dates.  Please continue to use caution while driving on FM 455.

AUGUST 6, 2015

ANNA – A project to widen FM 455 through Anna from the US 75 northbound frontage road to SH 5 is beginning next week. The $12.3 million project was awarded to Lone Star Civil Construction, Inc.

The roadway will be widened from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided urban roadway. The length of the project is 1.96 miles and will include grading, drainage and structures. The construction on the project is state funded by Regional Toll Revenue. There will be a five-day work week and it is expected to take about 14 months to complete.

The project is expected to be substantially complete in October of 2016.
